Judge: Meaylee Lewis (Fairwinds)
My sincere thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at your super show. I was
delighted with the quality of my entry with really promising youngsters through to impressive
Champions. All exhibits were well presented and coped remarkably well in the hot weather,
which unfortunately did cause a few extra absentees.

Baby Puppy Dog (1)
1st Dynes’ SANDSEERS JACK SPARROW AT CEDARDYNE. A happy and confident young
chap at 5 months with a lovely pale gold coat coming through. Well proportioned head set on
a good reach of neck. Strong topline and good tailset. Ribs nicely sprung and of good depth
for his age, short coupled. Well bent stifles and well let down hocks. Held his profile on the
move. Best Baby Puppy In Show
Puppy Dog (2, 1a)
1st Savage’s WEISFORD CALL OF THE OCEAN. A well presented golden dog at 9 months
with a very happy, kind expression. Darkest of pigment and his head is well set onto his
strong neck. Good layback of shoulder and return of upper arm. Well bent stifles in balance
with his forehand. Carried his tail level on the move. Move with excellent reach and drive, not
as tidy as the bitch today which made my final decision. Looking forward to seeing him
mature.
Junior Dog (1, 1a)
Intermediate Dog (0)
Adult Dog (0)
Open Dog (4, 3a)
1st Byrne’s CONAOIMH GALAXY’S EDGE OF WHISTLER CJW 23,Jun Ch,JD,CIB-J. 3 year
old dog gleaming in a rich golden coat. Masculine and well balanced in head with good
chiselling and dark pigment. Strong neck of good length. Deep through the chest with a level
topline leading to a correct tail set. Strong hindquarters with well let down hocks. Stands
straight on good bone. Moved with reach and drive, carrying his head, topline and tail
correctly. Reserve Best Dog
Champion Dog (3, 1a)
1st Savage’s WEISFORD GUILTY AS SIN. A well balanced 4 year old dog in full golden
coat. Well balanced head with dark pigment and the kindest expression. Strong neck of good
length leading to his well laid back shoulders and correct forechest. Good depth through his
chest and correctly sprung ribs with a level topline. Good turn of stifle with well let down
hocks. Stands square on strong feet. On the move he holds his profile with positive driving
action, one of the most accurate here today. Best Dog, Reserve Best In Show & Best
Opposite Sex
2nd Heffernan’s LISARTAN TEXAS. 2 year old dog in light golden coat. Masculine head of
good proportions with dark pigment, nicely set into his neck of correct length. Good
shoulders and level topline. Well bent stifles with hocks well let down. Stands square on
strong, round feet. Moved freely on a long stride. Not yet as developed through the body as
1.
Baby Puppy Bitch (1)
1st Whelan’s SANDSEERS JENNY WREN.
5 months old and well presented in rich golden coat. Well chiselled head coming on with
dark pigment, nicely set on her good reach of neck. Stands with a level topline, her stifles
are well bent and she stands fore-square on catlike feet. Very positive, outgoing mover.
Puppy Bitch (4, 2a)
1st Ingle & Clarke’s RAISTIN NICE N’ EASY.
Feminine bitch well balanced all through, well chiselled head with dark pigment and soft
expression. Strong neck, correct in length and flowing nicely into her shoulders and strong
topline. Well bodied with her ribs well sprung and deep enough chest for her age. Correct tail
set. Carried herself well on the move with accurate footfall. Best Puppy In Show.
2nd Savage’s WEISFORD OCEAN SOUNDS.
Pretty bitch, head well proportioned with good chiselling, complete with a kind expression
and dark pigment. Strong neck of correct length and well laid back shoulders. Well sprung
ribs, with nice substance all through for her age. Stood fore-square on strong bone. Well
bent stifles and let down hocks. Moved freely on a long stride.
Junior Bitch (6, 2a)
1st Hanmore’s DROMBEG ESTRELLA.
Pale golden bitch, very well presented. Loved her head – well balanced, chiselled beautifully,
complete with her dark pigment and kind expression. Although I’d prefer more depth to her
angles, she is balanced throughout and carried herself around the ring with ease, holding
her profile on well driven, accurate strides. Good depth through the chest, well ribbed back
and short coupling. Good reach of neck, super strong topline and tail nicely set. Best Junior
In Show.
2nd Murray’s RATHCLOON OPERAS N ARIAS.
Rich golden bitch, also feminine all through. Well chiselled head with good pigment, well set
on her strong neck of good length. Well laid back shoulders and short coupling. Well bent
stifles and with well let down hocks. Tail correctly set. Moved freely with drive, holding her
head, topline and tail level.
Intermediate Bitch (2, 2a)
Adult Bitch (4, 3a)
1st Savage’s THORNYWAIT ROYAL ICING AT WEISFORD.
Light golden bitch, with good substance head to toe. Pretty, feminine head of good
proportions with dark pigment. Strong neck flowing into her well laid back shoulders. Correct
forehand construction, good forechest and legs well under her body, with well sprung ribs.
Very well bent stifles, with hocks well let down. Held a level topline once settled – would love
to see her more relaxed on the move, though moved freely on well driven strides.
Open Bitch (10, 10a)
Champion Bitch (3, 1a)
Two very worthy champion bitches,- I ultimately preferred the substance through the body of
1, though 2 was unfortunate to not be in her best dress which no doubt amplified this.
1st Murray’s RATHCLOON HIGHWAYS N BYWAYS.
Beautiful rich golden bitch, another really lovely typical head with correct chiselling and
balance whilst still feminine. Strong neck of good length. Well laid back shoulders and good
forechest. Held a level topline throughout. Well sprung ribs with short coupling and nice
depth through the chest. Well bent stifles with well let down hocks. Very well presented, free
stood with a happy, wagging tail of enthusiasm and adoration for her handler. Most accurate
mover, holding her profile with reach and drive. Best Bitch & Best In Show.
2nd Glynn’s MELGOWD STITCHED UP LOVE AT WESTLOW.
Very feminine bitch with a gentle, kind expression. Good reach of neck with her head nicely
set. Balanced fore and hind quarters with correct forechest and well bent stifles. Held a
strong level topline throughout, with correct tail set. Freestood foresquare, again totally in
harmony with her handler. Moved very soundly with a beautiful profile. Reserve Best Bitch.
