In opening I would like to express my gratitude for being in the fortunate position of being invited to judge your glorious dogs. It is an honour to have my opinion considered worthy of all of your efforts to prepare you dogs and travel to the show, let alone the years of work to get your quality to the place it is. To be further presented with such a quality group of Goldens was further humbling and fraught with a few hairs breath decisions on my part that could easily be altered without compromise on a different day or under slightly different circumstances.

Feel very confident that the breed overall is in good shape in Ireland indeed! Across the board the dogs had lovely strong toplines, correct mouths including full dentition, clean and easy movement and were well presented and groomed. The depth of quality was particularly noticed as the bitch classes progressed through the more senior girls, something for many to be very proud of. As is the case the girls outnumbered the boys, it’d be lovely to see a few more boys of the calibre there was competing.

A lovely 4 month old cream baby holding it all together on both the stack and the move. Lovely balance and ratio with a clean appealing head, a very promising puppy.  I look forward to watching him grow.  Best Baby Puppy

2nd very promising Alibren I’m on Fire At Clonabay C & J Tobin

Another lovely mid gold very promising puppy. Very masculine with strong bone and a strong appealing head.At 5 month sold just didn’t have the precise topline control of first place. This will of course, settle as he continues to grow

Beautiful cream well put together 8.5month old boy, an outline that needs no single feature singled out as it was all so well balanced. Lovely level topline on the move. Clean masculine head, Presented beautifully.  Best Puppy

2nd Very Promising Moyglass Just Too Sweet J Smullen

Beautifully put together 11 month old boy, lovely level topline on the move. Balanced rear and front. A little further grown and currently not holding his croup as level as I would have wished. Beautifully let down hocks.

1^st Excellent Weisford Call of the Ocean K Savage

Glorious outline, sublime topline. The 9.5 month old boy completely forgot to dress for the occasion however thst just highlighted his lovely shape, delightful looking dog. Everything to love. Will enjoy watching him grow!

1^ST Excellent Fairwinds in Space Man M & S Lewis

At just over 3 years old a lovely finished dog in full bloom.  Strong balanced angles, lovely depth through a mature body, Strong masculine head, id like a touch more length of muzzle. Green Star Dog

2nd Excellent Conaoimh Galaxy’s Edge of Whistler C Byrne

Another beautiful masculine dog, hard to choose between the two.  He has the most glorious quality coat and presented beautifully. A little longer in oin is what pipped him today for me.

I absolutely could see that I had reached the Champion Class.  Two beautiful specimens of the breed.

1^ST Lisartan Texas M Heffernan

At just over 2 this beautifully balanced dog fills your eye,  well ribbed back, in peak condition.  Lovely topline on move and beautiful head. Finished off with a full and attractive coat in lovely condition.

 2nd Weisford Guilty as Sin K Savage

In terms of shape and quality nothing diminished this dog alongside the winner. Another absolutely lovely balanced short ratioed boy with a hard level topline and beautiful head.  Sadly there was only one first place.

Beautiful 8.5 year old cream veteran with a level topline and lovely head.  Beautifully balanced throughout. A finished boy in every way, presented in beautiful condition with a strong deep body befitting his years .Reserve Green Star Dog

2nd Very Good Golden Lad of  St Georgeabbey Nun Doss and Nun Louka

Nice fellow, 8 year old pale gold boy of good construction, overly enthusiastic which made it hard to go over him or see him move with ease. Everything appears to be where it should be.

Lovely girl, beautifully put together, held her topline superbly on the move for a baby. Very well constructed co ordinated little lady

2nd Zenevieva Millon Dollars M & S Lewis

Difficult decision between first and second but this little one not quite as coordinated at this stage.

However another lovely promising puppy with a very bright future.

Beautiful youngster, faultless shape with a dead level topline, lovely balance, and a gorgeous head.  Another who forgot to dress for the occasion, however that left nothing to the imagination in terms of seeing her lovely outline.

2nd Very Promising Raistin Nice ‘N’ Easy B Ingle & E Clarke

Beautifully balanced bitch.  Lovely pale gold coat, she has everything where it should be for her age, I am sure it will develop beatifully..

Beautiful cream girl with a clean cut outline, such a glorious shape to her.  Used her exceptional topline on the move and on the stack. Everything to admire about this one! Best Junior

Lovely bitch, also with a clean outline and in glorious attractive coat.  Just needs to mature in the rear.

Lovely mature mid gold young lady, well balanced with a nice topline.  Very attractively furnished.I’d just like to see a bit more development in her rear yet, it will come.

1st Thornywait Royal Icing at Weisford K Savage

Beautifully constructed, slightly overweight but still manages to pull it off on the move.The more she stacked the more she relaxed into it but certainly was a minx for her handler to show at best advantage.

2nd Excellent Westlow Meet Me Halfway D & J Glynn

Another lovely scopey girl, difficult to decide on first place but she does not have quite the angles of first placed. Noted her breeding reading later certainly typey to little sister.
